This unique and specialist package will provide individuals and employers with a blend of OCR nationally recognised qualifications and the renowned Pitman Training Diploma.

Pitman Training currently trains some 60,000 people every year in over 90 centres throughout the UK, Ireland and across the world. The partnership forms part of Pitman Training’s commitment to helping employers to upskill their workforce and reward competency with nationally recognised qualifications.

Lyn Barwick, Product Development Manager at Pitman Training said: “There is a major onus on employers to provide their staff with the opportunity to achieve at least a Level 2 qualification and funding could be available to companies to help them achieve this aim.

“We help businesses by providing an ideal learning environment where students can study at times and durations to suit their busy lives. OCR’s qualifications perfectly match this ethos, providing flexible programmes of study and modular assessment so that candidates can learn in stages and receive recognition for their achievements upon completion of each unit.”

John Deacon, National Account Manager at OCR, said: “Information and Communication Technology plays a central role in many businesses today and it is important that employers and their staff can use its potential. We have worked closely with Pitman Training to provide them with a range of qualifications which will help them deliver flexible learning solutions that are particularly suitable for those in full time employment.”
