September is a funny old month for many of us. Depending on your age and circumstances you’ll either have been dreading it, skipping through the summer towards its arrival - or somewhere in between!
Maybe it’s the start of a new era because your children are starting nursery or full-time education? Perhaps you've been thinking about making a change as soon as you return from your holiday? Or have you been planning how to get that promotion once the summer madness has settled down?
‘Back to school’ is a concept that advertisers are always keen to cash in and not just for those who are of a school age! It works because it taps into something in all of us. It works because there’s something about the change of seasons that makes us think differently – not just about buying new work wardrobes and shiny new pencil cases, though that’s always a bonus!
A new season is about a fresh start, a new beginning, a time for change.
