Paula has over 12 years experience in the recruitment and training industry locally. Both Kiri and Paula are Microsoft Certified Trainers and are experts in their field. They also offer a free CV and career health check to all current and previous students.

About Us
Paula Elliott - Centre Manager
Paula is the course advisor for Diplomas and Individual courses where the centre holds the Matrix Accreditation for providing Information Advice and Guidance.
Paula is a Microsoft Office Master Instructor in and holds the Advanced Certificate in Education. She is an NVQ assessor and the centre's numeracy specialist, and has an NVQ Level 4 in Management.
Kiri Edwards - Training Supervisor
Kiri is the centre’s training supervisor for Microsoft Office and Accounts courses. She is a Microsoft Office Specialist in Word and Outlook and has 3 years of book keeping experience using Sage. Kiri has completed the Advanced Certificate in Education and was a key team member in Pitman Training gaining the Matrix Accreditation for Information, Advice and Guidance in January 2011.
Kiri is the centre’s literacy support specialist and is very approachable and available for reviews and one to one support.
Simon Barrett – Tutor
Simon is a Microsoft Office Specialist in Excel and has sound knowledge of HTML and web design. He is very popular member of the team and is often acknowledged for his patience and kindness.
Deborah Jupe - Tutor
Deborah is a former student and now a tutor in the centre. Deborah offers advice and guidance on courses and liaises closely with students as they progress through their courses.
Monique van der Veen - Administrator
Monique is the friendly face that will greet you on your arrival and can help with any bookings that you would like to make for your training sessions. She will also contact you on completion of your course to advise that certificates are available for collection.
Millie Welton – Secretary
Millie completed the Secretarial diploma and is now the Pitman Training team secretary. Millie manages 2 databases and the student resources diary and will happily make bookings for you on the phone or at reception. Millie is currently working towards the Executive PA Diploma.

Pitman Training Dovers Double Celebration
We recently celebrated our move into our fantastic new training centre here in the Market Square with an official opening ceremony attended by Right Worshipful the Town Mayor of Dover, Councillor Mrs Sue Jones and Charlie Elphicke, MP.
Paula Elliott, Centre Manager and owner said, “We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new facilities, we look forward to welcoming students new and old. The centre has increased in size to respond to the growing demands.”
During the event we also held a presentation for our Student of the Year Award 2010 and our congratulations go to Stacie Pettman who completed her Diploma whilst working and has just qualified as a Legal Secretary thanks to her training with us. Receiving her award from local MP Charlie Elphicke she commented, “I am so proud of what I have achieved with the help and support of everyone at Pitman Training. Receiving this award is the icing on the cake and I am really hoping to do everyone proud by realising my potential when I start my new job. Thanks to Paula and the team I feel like I can do anything!”
CMS Employment Agency partnership helps students find jobs!
Pitman Training Dover has a long term and strong working relationship with CMS Agency, also in the Market Square. Together with CMS, Paula and Kiri provide a personal touch when assisting students with finding work. They keep a very close eye on local opportunities and work with CMS to identify and select which jobs students would be most suitable for and help them through the application process.
Pitman Training Dover fast tracks students to new jobs
We pride ourselves in helping our students find the job they really want. And sometimes it’s quicker than you may think. In September 2010, Catherine Glover, signed up with Pitman Training Dover having been made redundant. Her new skills and past experience proved so much in demand that even whilst studying her Sage Line 50 v 12 course, she was offered a new job! India May had a similar experience – part way through her Executive PA Diploma she was offered a new job. She’s now PA to a local dental surgeon.
Welcome Simon Barrett

Kiri has been with at Pitman Training for 5 years and holds relevant qualifications including Diploma in Teaching in the Life Long Learning Sector, ECDL, ITQ, NVQ Assessor award and is a Microsoft Office Specialist in 3 subjects.
