To find us, come out of Royal Victoria Shopping Centre, cross the road so that you are next to the Millennium Clock, walk to the left and our door is between Currys Digital and Specsavers. We are situated on the second floor.

Sophie, the centre manager has four friendly, hard-working and very helpful staff working with her: Dave, the Senior Training Supervisor as well as Sarah, Jon and Ollie. Please do not hesitate to ask them questions if you want to know more about our Pitman Training courses and diplomas.

About Us

Sophie

Sophie has been with Pitman Training for five years in July and that time has gone incredibly quickly! Before she started as the Centre manager, Sophie was an Administrator, so she understands what people wanting to get into that profession need to succeed.

Sophie has completed all of the Pitman Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) she has also taken the Book-keeping course and part of Sage, so if you need to find out any more about these particular courses and what to expect, Sophie will be more than willing to tell you.

Dave

Dave came to Pitman Training over a year ago, going straight into the Senior Training Supervisor role from a managerial position in a local betting shop. Dave is the man to talk to about Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Sarah

Working for Pitman Training was Sarah’s first ever job and has been here for 5 years now. She studied the Pitman Business IT diploma with Web Design and since then has completed more courses and updated her knowledge to the 2007 version. Sarah’s specialist subject is Excel, although she is great with most of Microsoft Office packages.

Jon

Jon has been with the company for about 4 months and has enjoyed it thoroughly so far. Before starting with Pitman Training, Jon completed his ECDL Extra to boost and update his qualifications, he also completed a 6 week period of Office/ Admin work experience set by the job centre. Jon has not yet completed a Pitman Training course but is interested in a couple of them, including Book Keeping and will pursue this interest further. Jon would say that his specialist subject at Pitman Training is setting up tests and issuing books although he hopes to learn much more.

Ollie 

Ollie has been with Pitman Training for only a few months but before coming to us as an apprentice, he was a Trainee Contacts Manager. At the moment Ollie is taking the Pitman sage course and hopes to do more so that he can become more confident in helping the students through their courses.

Pitman Training Tunbridge Wells Officially Opened By Mayor

New centre on Mount Pleasant Road, Tunbridge Wells.

The Mayor of Tunbridge Wells, Cllr Mrs Elizabeth Thomas and her husband, Robert visited the new Tunbridge Wells-based Training company, Pitman Training to welcome the new Centre Manager, Sophie Sullivan to the newly opened centre, located on Mount Pleasant Road (in between Specsavers and Currys).

The Mayor was delighted to see so many students in the centre already and gave a speech to all, stating “How Pitman Training offers fantastic opportunities to those wishing to go back into work, have been made redundant or unemployed.”

After mingling with the students, Cllr Thomas cut the ribbon to officially open the centre. The Mayor also presented Jenny Leach with a certificate for her book-keeping award, which included Sage and Excel. Jenny is currently working as a receptionist and wanted to improve her skills in accounting.
Courses in Accounting, Secretarial, Marketing, Business and many more are now being offered at Pitman Training’s Tunbridge Wells centre, situated on Mount Pleasant Road.
