Is your secretary the best on Tyneside?

31/08/2009

Sir Isaac Pitman

Bosses on Tyneside are being urged to nominate their PAs and secretaries for The Best Secretary on Tyneside Award 2009. Now in its second year, this award recognises the hard work and dedication by the "unsung heroes" of the business world.

Organised by Pitman Training Newcastle, leaders in PA and secretarial training, the award focuses on the very best, both in terms of experience and skills; giving the region's secretaries the chance to step into the limelight.

Dave Stevens of Pitman Training Newcastle said: "Having founded the award last year, we felt that it was even more important to run it again this year. Everyone is working harder and harder to combat the effects of the recession and work is definitely tougher this year. This is a chance for North East bosses to really show their appreciation to their staff."

Closing date for nominations is 10 September, and the shortlisted entrants will be invited to meet the judges. This years judging panel will include last years winner. Julie Britt, PA to the CEO of NaREC. "It was such a thrill to be recognised to be doing a good job and win the award last year", said Julie, "so I'm really pleased to have been asked to help with this year's award."

All secretaries and PAs working or living in the NE, DH and SR postcode areas are eligible for this year's award. To nominate someone that you think deserves this accolade, contact us on the details below to find out more.

The 2009 award ceremony will be held at Tiger Tiger Newcastle on 30 September.
