Initial Induction
Depending on where you live, we would encourage you to come in to the training centre (Plymouth City Centre) for your initial induction. You’ll meet your tutors and we’ll make you feel comfortable with the process and the people here to support you. On the induction we’ll show you how to get going on your first lessons so that you’re up and running to continue your courses from home. We’ll be in regular touch with you on the phone to help and support you through your training with us and you can call or email us anytime you need our assistance in the meantime!
If you prefer, this initial induction can be carried out entirely over the phone where we can talk you through the very simple processes and send you your courseware by post.
24/7 access to the Pitman Training Player learning portal
Our courses are available to study 24/7 via the Pitman Training web portal. All you will need is a reasonable broadband internet connection and a set of headphones. The Pitman Training Player is a Pitman-developed piece of software used for most of our course delivery and is very easy to use. It is identical to the system you will have used if you have studied a Pitman course at one of our training centres.
Tutor-Support
We’re here to help you. On your initial induction we will have established with you your goals and objectives for getting certified, how you intended to study and the timescales you want to work to. From this initial plan, we can help you establish your framework for success.Based around these objectives, your personal training mentor - who will remain with you from start to finish - will be in touch with you on an agreed regular basis to help you stay on track and true to your goals. And we’re here for at all the times in between, just call us or email us anytime during normal Training Centre opening hours.
