
My PC in the centre was running slow recently. I did all the usual things to help:
But the computer was still giving me problems. So I told it to automatically adjust for best performance. This is quite drastic, as it alters the appearance of Windows. It looks kind of old-fashioned - which it is, because it reverts to how Windows 2000 used to look. So the fancy Start button becomes dull and square.
BUT it does improve the computer's performance. It speeds everything up.
I've kept mine in this high performance state, because it makes such a difference.
Here's how to do it yourself:
You should see a big difference. If you don't like it, go through the same routine again and tell it to let Windows automatically decide.
