Are You Leaving the Armed Forces? Ask us about the ELC system
Pitman Highland is a Preferred Supplier (ELC No 1335) of the Enhanced Learning Credits system so personnel leaving the Armed Forces can be assured of excellent training from us as part of their resettlement to civilian roles.
AAT Examinations Centre
We are also the regional testing centre for Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) so if you are studying this independently, we hope to see you when you come in to take each stage of your exams.
We live and work locally and are here to provide the best skills and service to people in the region that we can.
Our training centre is based right in the heart of Inverness but you don’t need to be based here to study with us. We offer distance learning meaning if you’re in a remote area of the Highlands, we can still help you gain professional and high quality, recognisable qualifications.
You will see Alicia or Andrew who are both very knowledgeable about career skills and the local job market. All our staff members are highly trained and great at helping you make the right decisions about your career.
All our courses are fully recognised and are available to begin any day in personalised learning: no need to wait for classes to begin.
Get in touch to find out about the range of courses we have and how you can get started.
Train With Us
We are very proud of our ability to support Inverness and the wider Highlands, as we are contributing to the new skills and investment that celebrates Inverness formally achieving full city status.
We have a lot of experience supporting people who are returning to work after having time off with young children, taking their first career steps, with those looking to completely retrain mid-career (including many from the Armed Forces) and those looking to refresh their skills to keep on top of a changing job.
We don’t judge, all are welcome. We are only here to see what extra training you may need and how we can make it as easy as possible for you. We provide full support during and after training. During your training we are always on hand to answer any questions you may have, and we make it easy to find a time that suits you to come in to see us. We can stay open late during the week or even on Saturdays if this can help.
After you have finished your Diploma we can give you qualification references and extra prints of your certificates for prospective employers. We can even help you to incorporate your Diploma into your CV and give you tips on writing successful covering letters.
As part of our learner support service, we offer the Pitman Career MOT which in about 30 minutes will guide you to an understanding of what career choices might suit you best and ensure that any training will be best suited to achieve your work and life goals.
