Amatul Momin: Shortlisted for Pitman Training Super Achievers 2014 Student of the Year Award

Amatul was 21 when she joined Pitman Training in Croydon, having completed her A-Levels with fantastic grades alongside 8 awards, and her dream was to become a doctor. With fees at an all-time high, university was not an immediate option. Rather than losing sight of this dream, Amatul signed up for a Medical Secretary Diploma in July 2013 in order to equip her with some practical skills to attract employers in the meantime.

To date she has completed 7 exams all resulting in a Distinction, with 5 modules remaining. As English is not Amatul’s first language, a big concern was the Effective Business Communication module, but with a lot of hard work and revision she was still able to pass with Distinction.

Despite having a part time job and also running her own cleaning product business, the Croydon Centre training team have said that Amatul is one of the most dedicated students in the centre, going in every day to work on her Diploma, and in particular her touch typing.

Amatul has not lost sight of her dream career, and feels as though her Pitman Medical Secretary Diploma will set her in excellent stead going forward in the future.

The Pitman Training Croydon team nominated Amatul for the Student of the Year Award not only because of her dedication to her studies, but because she is a bright and intelligent young woman. They have no doubt that she will achieve her dream of becoming a doctor having seen her passion for learning and determination.
