Our friendly and supportive team are all previous students of Pitman Training Cardiff and enjoy getting to know each learner personally, discovering which course suits their individual needs and then helping them every step of the way in reaching their goal.

Each learner will have the full support of the training supervisor team once they get started and in addition, will have a designated mentor to personally help, motivate and support them from beginning to end, both in the centre and learning from home/work.

Our training centre in Cardiff offers CPD accredited Speedwriting and Shorthand Courses, as well as Typaz Speed Typing Courses, Touch Typing, Teeline Shorthand and Shorthand Fast Courses.

Our Training

At Pitman Training Cardiff, we have many years experience in helping people realise their potential and change their lives. Our success rates speak for themselves, with around 97% of our learners achieving a pass or better and over 70% walking in to a job within 6 months!

Pitman Training’s qualifications are recognised nationally and internationally and our flexible training allows students to start and learn anytime within a fully supported environment, helping them to achieve their goals.

The first thing we do is have an informal chat and get an understanding of what your needs, current skills and future goals are. We then help you decide which course or diploma is right for you and your ambitions.

You can get started at anytime and learn whenever we are open, 6 days a week Monday through to Saturday and 2 late evenings a week until 8pm. We can support you from home and/or in work…the choice is yours!!

We can also deliver the training using distance learning if you are unable to travel into the centre regularly. Whether you want to become a Receptionist, Admin Assistant, Medical/Legal Secretary, Executive PA, Bookkeeper, IT Technician or Web Design Specialist, we can help you get where you want to be.

We have strong relationships with local employers and recruitment agencies and offer free professional one to one CV advice from our CV expert. We also have a monthly scholarship programme, where we offer one month’s experience working in the centre to help students gain work experience and put their new skills to the test.

We have joined partnerships with Office Angels and Now Accountancy and are actively helping individuals into their new role, utilising the skills they have learnt. We also help support individuals who want to add some work experience to their CV and we have connections to a variety of organisations and charities to help with this.

We deal with various funding schemes and also offer interest free career development loans. All available options can be discussed with one of our friendly course advisors.

Our flexible training also has the benefit of staff learning at different times, so no need for large numbers to be out of the office at any one time. REACT Funding for Training Courses in Cardiff, Wales

Have you recently been made redundant? We can help!!

If you are serving your notice period or have been made redundant within the last 3 months you may be eligible for REACT funding. REACT funding is a scheme set up by the Welsh Government with support from the European Social Fund to help individuals who are newly redundant. The Redundancy Action Scheme helps people affected by redundancy gain new skills and encourage recruiting employers to employ a redundant worker.

Within the REACT scheme, up to a maximum of £1,500 training costs are available to acquire new skills to help you attract future employers and get back in the world of work as quickly as possible.

We like to know exactly how we can help and invite you in to our friendly training centre for a coffee and a chat to help you gain the most out of the REACT programme. In this informal meeting in our coffee lounge, we can discuss your previous role, the type of jobs you would like to apply for and then devise a tailored training plan to help you achieve success and get back to work ASAP.

In addition to the training we also offer free CV help and with our strong links with local employers and recruitment agencies, we receive regular live job vacancies and are helping to place many individuals in their next role.
