Position Yourself For Success In It!

IT employees hold some of the most important jobs in any organisation. As an advanced Network Support Engineer, it will be your responsibility to install, manage, and troubleshoot computer networks. You will play a crucial role in maintaining your organisation’s networks, and you will help keep the network safe and secure. As a more senior support professional, your job could involve providing any of the following types of support to your organisation:

  • Configuring security settings or access permissions for authorised users
  • Analysing and reporting security breaches or attempted breaches
  • Troubleshooting the network to identify connectivity issues and using diagnostic testing software and equipment
  • Documenting network support activities
  • Configuring wide area network (WAN) or local area network (LAN) routers and other related equipment
  • Installing network software, such as security or firewall software
  • Evaluating network performance data in areas such as speed, connectivity, and disaster recovery

With this diploma and some experience in a senior support role, your career could advance to positions of greater seniority and responsibility, such as Systems Administrator or IT Support Manager.
