"I was looking for a career change and interested in working in a legal field. I needed a course that was flexible to fit in with my full time job, and due to Pitman Training being open on Saturdays and some late evenings during the week I was able to achieve this.
The Pitman Legal Secretarial Diploma covers the basic skills that you would need to know to become a Legal Secretary. It also gives you the relevant qualifications for a general administrative job as well. This was great for people like me that only have a small amount of office experience.
Pitman Training in Worcester has a really friendly, relaxed environment and the staff are very approachable and supportive and will help with any problems or queries you might have.
The course has taken me a year to complete and has been enjoyable, but also very worthwhile as I have learnt some useful new skills to help me develop my career".
"After many years I decided that I needed to update my secretarial skills in order to widen my career choices. I did a lot of research and after reading many success stories, I decided to train with Pitman Worcester. I have a demanding home life and live in a rural area, so I was unsure how I would manage to do a course, alongside my other commitments. I was lucky to find a very understanding advisor in Jazz who put my mind at rest. Pitman was a good choice for me as it offered flexibility; I could study what I wanted in my own time and do some of it from home. The atmosphere at the training centre was always relaxed and friendly. The staff were knowledgeable and supportive, which in my case was especially important as English is not my first language. Finally, this year I managed to finish my PA Executive Diploma with a DistinctionMany thanks to Jazz, David and Jo"
"I first learnt about Pitman Training when I decided to change jobs from a data entry clerk to become a medical secretary. I did the AMSPAR Medical Terminology and an Introduction to Medical Secretary Course delivered by Pitman Training Worcester and sponsored by my employers, Worcester Royal Hospital. I enjoyed my training a lot and I wanted to do further courses, to aid my career path. I went into Pitman Training Worcester and after discussion, enrolled on to 4 more courses. I found training with Pitman easy to fit into my life and around work. The centre staff are very friendly and helpful. Due to the training I have done I was able to reach my goal and secure and medical secretary job within the NHS."
