Safal MRM Foundation Partners with Pitman Training to Launch Career Acceleration Programme for Nairobi Youth
Nairobi, Kenya – 22nd October 2025: The Safal MRM Foundation, working with Pitman Training Kenya, announces the Career Acceleration Programme (CAP), built around Pitman’s globally recognised Administrative Assistant Diploma.
This six-month initiative awards five fully funded scholarships to young Kenyans aged 18–30 from underserved communities in Nairobi. Participants gain professional development in technical skills, communication skills, and workplace readiness skills that boost their employability and long-term career prospects.
CAP blends a CPD-accredited Administrative Assistant Diploma (170 learning hours) with two in-person Saturday masterclasses in communication, leadership and presentation. Learners receive personalised job-readiness coaching, including CV and cover letter writing, LinkedIn optimisation and mock interviews that prepare them for real-world opportunities.
By graduation, participants are expected to meet international administrative standards, with at least 80 per cent finishing the course and 60 per cent moving into employment or internships within six months. This structured approach builds confidence, communication skills, technical proficiency and professional presentation – qualifications that help participants stand out in a competitive job market.
Programme Highlights
CAP is built around Pitman’s respected Administrative Assistant Diploma, which covers practical modules in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Typaz, Time Management, Effective Business Communication and CompTIA Project+. These modules equip learners with the technical and organisational skills needed in modern office environments.
Learners attend two Saturday masterclasses designed to build confidence and communication skills. The first session, Building the Foundations of Influence, explores the psychology of charisma, vocal development, non-verbal communication and storytelling techniques. The second, Applying Influence in Real Life, focuses on interviews, career conversations and networking with purpose – whilst developing a personal action plan for continued growth.
Everyone also benefits from Pitman’s job-readiness coaching, which provides practical guidance on CV and cover letter writing, LinkedIn optimisation, mock interviews and introductions to internship or employment opportunities.
By combining academic rigour with real-world preparation, graduates leave with both qualifications and confidence.
Kenya faces a youth unemployment rate above 13 per cent, with many graduates struggling to secure positions due to limited practical workplace experience. CAP addresses this gap by pairing technical training with mentorship and employer connections.
‘Through this initiative, we are creating opportunities for young people who have the talent but lack access to structured career pathways,’ said Siprosa Rabach, Head of Safal MRM Foundation. ‘This gives them the confidence and professional skills they need to succeed.’
Rehaan Mehar, Head of Marketing and Partnerships at Pitman Training Kenya, added: ‘At Pitman Training Kenya, we believe education should open doors to real career opportunities. Our partnership with the Safal MRM Foundation goes beyond awarding diplomas; it is about equipping young Kenyans with technical expertise, confidence and in-demand workplace skills. We are proud to support these talented youth as they take bold steps forwards, building sustainable careers and futures.
