About This Course

The Windows 11 Part 2 course offers four interactive modules with video tutorials and quizzes to support your progress. Each module breaks into manageable sections that can be completed at a comfortable pace.

Module 1 covers universal apps. Learn to use the calculator for standard, scientific, and programmer calculations. Check weather reports for any location, navigate areas and view traffic with Maps, and set focus sessions or check world times with the clock app. Audio recording and staying connected through Mail, Calendar, and People apps round out this module.

Module 2 explores productivity tools that make daily work easier. Configure the clipboard to copy multiple items at once and use Sticky Notes for quick reminders. Open audio and video files with built-in players, take screenshots and edit them before sharing, and record step-by-step actions with the Steps Recorder tool.

Module 3 focuses on program and file type management. Download and install applications safely, then see how to update, pin, and remove software. Close unresponsive applications using Task Manager and choose which programs open specific file types by setting default apps.

Module 4 covers data protection and backup. Connect external storage devices and transfer files, use File History to recover lost or previous versions of files, and create restore points for system protection. Learn how Windows Defender secures devices and how to configure privacy settings to control what information apps can access.

When finished, participants receive a Pitman Training Certificate that demonstrates advanced Windows 11 skills to employers.

Finance Options

Wherever possible our training is tailored to your needs. The cost of our training programmes depend on the course(s) you choose and varies according to duration and breadth. Rest assured we have a number of payment options available to ensure the cost of training is affordable and can be worked alongside your other financial commitments. Common ways people fund their training include: –

Self-Funded:

  • Flexible payment plans to help you spread the cost* available at many of our centres;
  • You could opt to pay upfront.

Company Funded:

Requesting funding from your employers needn’t be a daunting task. Many employers support and encourage their employees with their professional development and consider it a worthwhile investment to fund any training required.

What we can help with:

  • Providing a comprehensive training programme outlining learning outcomes
  • Tailored personnel letters
  • Communication with finance departments to arrange payment options (upfront or payment plan*).

Funding & Grants:
There may be the opportunity to apply for funded grants that can help towards the cost of training. These include the Skills Development Scotland ITAs and the ReAct programme in Wales. All schemes will have different terms and conditions that will need to be met in order to qualify for a grant and these are managed by each individual centre.

We’d recommend you speak to a Course Advisor in your local centre to find out whether they are registered to offer any such schemes and discuss your requirements further.

* Terms and Conditions apply. Speak to a Course Advisor for full information on the options available to you.
