Pitman Training Peterborough prepares Sarah for a new accounting career

“I heard about the NEET project run at Pitman Training Centre Peterborough from the Reed Employment Agency. It is a Government funded project for young people, aged 15 to 24, that are not in employment, education or training.

I was told by a recruitment agency that I would benefit from having more skills like Excel and Sage 50 Accounts in order for them to find me employment. Also, the course would help me to progress to the AAT studies in Accounting.

I loved the method of study at Pitman Training, as it has allowed me to choose which days and which hours I wanted to attend, the teaching method allowed me to adjust the learning pace to my own learning style. I was also able to go through the topics that I had a problem with a few times, until I fully understood them. I also enjoyed having a tutor on hand to help me, whenever I needed help.

I also enjoyed the relaxed Centre environment. I suffer from anxiety, so having relaxed environment and the flexibility of study was very helpful to me. Pitman’ Staff have been very helpful and understanding.

While on the course, I was also helping to look after my grandmother, so having the flexibility of choosing my own study sessions, was very useful.

Having the skills and the qualification from Pitman Training, who has been delivering training for over 180 years, has given me the motivation and the confidence to find employment. The course has given me very practical skills for the workplace.

Doing the training in the centre has put me into a routine and made me ready for employment.

The recruitment agency was very impressed with my newly acquired skills and qualifications, and they managed to find me employment very quickly. I finished the course on 3 May 2019 and I already started my new job on 7 May 2019.

I would be happy to recommend this course to anyone interested in gaining skills and qualifications. There is a wide range of courses to choose from, great support and relaxed environment for learning.”
