About this course

If you would like to work as a bookkeeper, accounts assistant or need to keep accounting records in your own business this course, along with the other modules, will teach you everything you need to know to be confident in your role.

This course is the second module designed to further your bookkeeping level 2 studies using the double entry system so you can keep accurate bookkeeping records. This course will guide you through bank reconciliation, trial balances, creditors and debtors, payroll and VAT and much more and, unlike other bookkeeping courses, this one puts the renowned Pitman Training name on your CV as proof of your skills.

The bookkeeping course leaves you with a handy workbook as a reference guide.

There are eight lessons within the Bookkeeping Level 2 – Module 2 course.

These cover the use of the double entry bookkeeping system, bank reconciliation, sales and purchase ledger control accounts, accounting for bad debt, correcting errors, preparing statements of account, reconciliation of statements of account, paying invoices falling due and using information from within the double entry system to prepare a VAT Return.

Aims and Objectives

The course covers part of the syllabus for the OCR Level 2 bookkeeping examination requirements. Taking this and modules 1 and 3 will also enable you to go on and gain a valuable AAT Qualification (AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping) if desired.

Following on from what was learnt in module 1, you will learn more about double entry bookkeeping to enable you to keep accurate, efficient accounting records. From here you will be perfectly placed to move onto module 3, the final module in this series of courses.
